we have a maltese dog. She's the smartest little girl and I credit some of this to the fact that yes we talk to her as if she were human. After all everything we know we had to learn from someone else, so why any different for these little guys. grandmaof2

i always talk to mine as if they are human. hey are there when you need to talk and granted they cant do anything about it but at least they cant talk back lol

You should talk to your pet when you are drepressed or you have a problem.Your pet is like a real person.If you tell your pet your problems you feel more relaxed ( like someone know your problem and it will help you ) .This is my oppinion.Peace.

yes me too., love talking to my pet dog., feels like he is my blanket whenever when im lonely and got problems

i talk to my pet as a person as this helps me to ease my negative engergies if i have any.
also when i m lonely then i talk to it.
it responds well by shaking its head and licking its tongue and waving its tail.
so i think that it understands albeit little but it responds well.

yes i talk to my pet a lot. and it's so nice everytime he react when im talking to him.

i do all the time, my puppy understand me too, we spend lot time together and enjoy those conversation, if u hear them heartily u also can feel them
