salary system

here i discuss about the salary wherein the management has the notion that the basic salary is equivalent to the performance levels of the employees. for my opinion, the basic salary merely keeps workers on-the-job to perform at the average level. What will male them perform beyond average are other factors such as incentives, recognition , meaningfulmess of one's job and achievement. And to maintain the performance at the average level, the salary system must give them a feeling of equity as the compare their basic pay rates with those of their peer inside and outside the company. Employees who feel that their salary in the company is substantially lower than those of their peers may seek employment elsewhere. If they cannot find a higher paying job elsewhere, they stay on but with low performance motivation.
