Do you depend on your Cellphone ?

Just for my survey.. it seems the technology of this world had been ever growing rapidly, including the mobile communication technology. I bought my first handset four years ago, still had monochrome display and no GPRS, maybe if I kept it until now, the handset could be called 'antique'. I want to compare about the situation before I had a cellphone and after I got it. It seems I would be depending a lot from it. I'm far from my parents, and I should do a communication between us. Compare that with a letter. Maybe my parents would read my message 1-2 days after I made it. :) I could tell my friends very quickly about anything, in just few words, send it, and they got it. I'm asking the question to you now. Thanks for discussing.
