What kind of music do you like to play on the piano?

I like to play contemporary music that are simplified. I am not very good at playing but sometimes I play in our church. I recently learned how to add a rhythm to a song and it enhances the music. I also enjoy playing folk songs from different countries. I am looking for the piece "Melody of love" I used to have one but lost it. Desperate to find another copy.

That's true. I especially like Mozart and Beethoven. But I'm not that good so I choose the simpler ones from their compositions. In fact Beethoven's Fur Elise took me three-week lessons and when I realized I was spending too much time for it I forced myself to learn it on the third week. I practiced 3 hours just for that piece alone until my fingers got sore.
Anyway, I listen to all classical music.

Oh I love Fur Elise! That's actually just about the only song that I have memorized. I love playing it. I'm not good at memorizing songs, so it took me probably a couple weeks to learn to play it, and then a year to memorize it completely.

I like to play some of our local band music here, Like from Alamid- 'You're Love and from Eraserheads- 'Para sa Masa'. I do also love to play McCartney's 'No More Lonely Nights and 'Ebony and Ivory', I like their tune and it's lyrics also. I mostly play them on my guitar, but I think it's more better in piano. So I sometimes practice it whit my friend who owes a keyboard and a grand piano.

ohhh, i envy you for your talent. when i was a little girl, i wanted to enroll in piano classes but it just didn't fit my parent's budget. but i would have loved to learn. anyway, regarding the piece you're looking for, have you tried searching for it on the net?

Maybe, when you get your own children you can send them to piano schools. Hope they would be as willing as you to learn to play.
Yes, I've looked it up on the net and unfortunately it's not free. I have to pay some dollars and I'm not willing to do that.
Thanks for participating in my discussion.
Best regards :-D

I love playing the piano! I really do like to play classical pieces, but there are some modern pieces I like, too. I stated playing piano because I loved Billy Joel and Elton John when I was younger, and I still love to play their songs on the piano, as well as Counting Crows, Enya and others. Classical always works and sometimes even a good rock song!
I prefer to play folk music on the guitar, or fiddle.

All the songs I like to play on the piano are rock songs. I love the sound of fast, upbeat piano in coordination with a rock band. Bands like Jacks Mannequin, and Dropping Daylight I think are prime examples of these. Bands like those definitely inspire all the songs that I write and the fast rhythmic style that I play.
