I have two adult female cats. One of them is a black and gold tabby named Phoenix, and the other is a black and beige tortie named Jellybean. Phoenix is the smarter of the two.

Black and gold is a really cool color combination.
Does Jellybean eat jellybeans?

No, I've never given her the opportunity to eat jellybeans. :-P

Whoa, I'd love to know where those names came from.
Hey, if cats don't get into mischief than there's
something wrong. That's what makes them so much fun.

How do you keep track of 5 cats? At least they never get bored, because there is always someone to play with! I have just 1 cat, his name is TOBY. He's almost 11 years old, and he's an indoor short-haired brown tiger cat with the cutest face you've ever seen!

You're right, they never get bored. We don't
get bored either. They provide so much love
and entertainment.
They're easy to keep track of. They pretty
much stay in or around the house. Sassy is
the only strictly indoor cat.
Toby sounds like he's adorable. How about
a picture?

I have 4 cats - Terra, Don Juan, Duncan, and Max. They are all indoor cats. Terra is our girl and her name is short for "the terrorist". Like some female cats, she has decided not to get along with the other cats. This could cause a lot of problems, but mostly she just ignores the other cats. Juan and Duncan are litter-mate brothers, and Max was a small kitten lost in our back yard when we adopted him.

The name Terra is a good one. The cat in my photos
is Sassy. She doesn't get along too well with our
other four, just like Terra. Cat lovers are some of
the most wonderful people out there.

Rhiannon sounds familiar, I just can't place it.
The different pronunciations of Siadie is funny.

Ive got a cat and a dog. I know cats and dogs don't usually get along together but in my case it's different. My dog Beuwolf and cat Kittiex always play together and they do get along well.

That's great to hear they play together. Two of
our five get along with our two Bassett Hounds.

I'll bet they're very special to the
two of you. How did you come up with
those names? You realize each has a
repeating letter in it's name. oo, ll, ss.

I have five cats. Silver (boy) and the rest are all girls, Cheetah, Magay, Oreo and Muffin.
Oreo and Muffin are new additions this year, they were both strays on the street and I picked them up and kept them.

in strays and giving them a home.

Hi.. we have 7.. Mufasa, Minnie, Nina, Anja, Aggie, Lornie and last but definitely no least, Smokey.. arranged from oldest to youngest. All of their own special habit.. Mufasa's a lap boy, Minnie.. the shy one.. Nina the vogue, Anja the sleepy one, Aggie the, well, let's say big one (lol), lornie, the smallest one, and Smokey... the big cat with a small voice..
Everyone always wonder how we manage to differentiate them but to us they are our kids so no superpower needed there..

I'll bet it's non-stop entertainment
with your 7 furry humans! They are
after all our "other" children. I
love your summary. People who don't
own cats can't figure out how we know
each one. I don't understand how they
could be mistaken for one another.
Each cat has their own distinct and
sometimes odd character traits.

I can sympathize with you about your asthma.
I don't have it that bad but I am allergic
to animal dander. Of course.

I totally agree with u.. and it seems THEY know their own names as well... coz sometimes when we think we see one (from behind sometimes they look the same).. we call by name.. he/she would simply ignore us.. but call them by their proper name.. and they would stop whatever they are doing and look at u.. as if to ask.... YES,, can i help you with something :-)... and then go on their merry way... just love my cats.. and although i have asthma.. would never dream of giving any one of them up..

Before i had 2 kittens and i named them Pichi and Pochi. I was working then far from home and we live on an apartment together with some of my coworkers. I had to do the imaginable. I threw them away. Coz our utility man threatened to kill them if i dont throw them. It seemed he cant take the smell of cat's poopoo. Coz even if the cage is cleaned well, it still smells. After i threw them away, i was so guilty i kept imagining they were always behind me when i walk the streets.

Sometimes you have to do what you have to do.
I know the smell can still be around even when
things are clean. Perhaps someone else picked
them up after you. That's too bad you felt they
were behind you on the streets. That's what our
conscious does to us. The utility man will get
what we call in the states "payback." In other
words, karma will catch up with him.

Perhaps some day you'll be able to keep
and care for a pet. It doesn't need to
be a cat or dog. For me though, nothing
is better than a crazy cat.

I can understand what you're talking about when
you say your monster children hehe. That's when
we turn to our cats for peace of mind.
I like smoky & bandit. You know I'm going to ask
Has that got anything to do with the movie?
I'm trying to picture what kind of dogs brandy &
rascal are. Do you have names for your future
horses yet?

thank you. No no names yet I like to watch the animal for a few days and then name them it is easier unless there is just no doubt like my kitty bandit he is black and white with a white head and what looks like a black mask around his eyes. and smokey is just that color solid smoke color. ( I honestly didn't think about smoky and bandit until my 16 year old pointed it out because she loves that show.) brandy my son named she is a alstrailian sheperd (I might have to get rid of her because she keeps trying to get my chickens.) yea most of them have names to lol. rascele is just that a little rascel lol I am not sure whet kind he is he was about a month old when I found him on the ide of the road on one of my fire calls. it broke my heart that someone would do that just dump him on the highway they are lucky he didn't get ran over. so I brought him home and my 8 year old fell in love. it is so cute he follows him everywhere even fishing lol. ok I will not bore you any longer.

Thanks. We choose their names by the way they look
and act. Too bad about the cats. Great name for the
dog! I like Cincin best. Russian hamster, hmmmm?
Hope he's/she's not a spy, ha ha lol. Does the
hamster answer to it's name?

Hi there again...thank you for the compliments!
Kieran is a gaelic name that was already given to him before I adopted him from a rescue. Romeo is the cat in the avatar is my Bengal Leopard Cat (1/2 Asian Leopard Cat ALC and 1/2 dometic). He is a joy to have in our family, but is a handful being so hyperactive and energetic.

We have 3 dogs two Collies, Sabrina and Sasha and the the terrorist Higgins, and he is a cat hater of note. Before we got him our neighbor's cat use to come and visit and the Collies didn't mind but with a Jack Russell it is a big no no. I've noticed that there are quite a allot of cat lovers on MyLot. It will be interesting to know which is the most popular dogs or cats. I just love all animals, and therefore feel more positive toward people that care for them. With unusual names like that I couldn't tell if they are male or female

Whoa. I know all about Jack Russell Terriers
and their hyper nature. I have a friend who
owns one. What a handful. I had a Collie years
ago and they couldn't be more opposites.
I'm with you, I love all animals. Obviously we
have the 5 cats, we also have 2 smart lovable
Bassett Hounds.

That is so cool. I've always loved the
3 Musketeers. I know this is going far
back but I had two cats named Bud & Lou
after two of my father's favorite comedians,
Bud Abbott and Lou Costello. If you don't
know who they are, check out some of their
old movies, they're very funny.
