I always dream of working abraod, aside from the fact that the benefits and compensation are better than working locally, I would like to try to be independent. I am still single and unattached, and I always depend on my parents including with my decisions. Do you think working abroad, away from your family.., will make someone a better person?... or will just make him depressed and lonely especially if the person haven't experienced being on his/her own?

I think part of making it big overseas includes you not being homesick and depressed. If you find a good job, you will have good friends too. You can keep in touch with your family and friends over here anytime with the technology now. I think you will also feel lonely when you're on your own once you move out or marry, you really don't need to very far to feel lonely. About becoming a better person, everyone has their own definition of what makes a person better. Is it a big paycheck, is it independence, is it being responsible. I think it's best to go abroad while you are single, unattached and have no kids. I first moved to the US when I was 15. I felt devastated the first night I was there then after that I was okay :-) ofcourse other people will feel differently but you have to do what you want to do.
