Poverty causes a lot of crime, but not all crime. It is the "white collar" crimes that cause a lot of the poverty!

poverty does play a role in committing crimes but it is not the root cause per se. For how, then, could we justify the crimes of rich people if we exclusively put the blame on poverty? Human being's persistence to live, their survival instincts, compel many of the poor to steal, kill, or commit such crimes to feed themselves and their family. It is the only out for the uneducated and the unemployed. Greed does perpetuate crime. Personal interests in the government left their citizens impoverished. the only solution I see is to provide the basic needs of man, a responsibility that the government failed to address. Having the necessary condition to live, there's no reason for these poor people to resort to criminal acts. Parents would not bother themselves with how should they get money and food. They would then have the chance of building their homes, of teaching their kids lessons not learned in school, etc... The challenge on the part of the rich is to liberate themselves from greed.

Agree! Children are not taught to wait for something and to perform with structure in their lives. With two parents working when there are two parents the kids suffer for it. We are too busy now trying to hurt others and not to bring each other up. Decent folk should be trained to bear arms and carry concealed for added penalty for wrong actions. Just my thoughts.

you are right about the crime in the dangerous weapon of the poverty. and to stop the crime and solve that problem we will have to think about what it cause that and how to prevent it. most of crime happens when the teenagers and or even with grownups because the need of money and to live like others do so its really the responsibility of the parents first and the country and the world second.
