Chelsea - Is José Mourinho Losing His Touch

Another loss for Chelsea...this time away at Liverpool. Wegner said that he would have to win today in order not to be out of the running for the leage championship. He got his wish. The first goal was the faul of the blues defense and a stupid pass backward which Liverpool recovered and scored. Cech, in his first game back from his injury, was in no way at fault. The second goal was a great shot, and again it was undefendable for Cech. Can't imagine what Mourinho is up to. He did put Shevi in until the last 15 minutes of the game. However, it seemed that he had his good reasons because, once again Shevi did little or nothing to make any difference. It seems to me that the way Mourinho and the team are going they are going to be lucky if they make the break for the UEFA Cup next year. Needless I am extremely because I can 't stand Mourinho and I am a Man Utd fan and my team's ex-player Cristiano Ronaldo. What's gonna happen now Chelsea fans?

hi gifana. i am not sure if mourrinho is losing his touch as it seems to me that since john terry got injured they have lost their way.pennants goal was class, especially as it was his first goal for the club. shevi hasn't done much since he signed and can see why he doesn't play him much. up the villa!

I agree with you monkey. But I was taught that when one member of the team was not present then the rest of us had to work harder to take up the slack. Any team should not use an excuse of someone being absent. We keep hearing all the time that no one is irreplaceable so why should John Kerry be any different. Sure he is a good player, and sure he is missed but it takes a team to win. They are earning enough money that they should pay attention to the game in hand and not lament that they are missing one man. I just don't buy it.

i agree the whole team should pull together and one man doesn't make a team but the results shoes since terry has been absent they have gone downhill. i think some of the players need a good shouting at when things aren't going well at the defence and john terry was the man to do this. liverpool are not many points away from chelsea now!

Today's game, according to Wenger was a must win for Liverpool to stay in the race for the championship...and the players showed that they were behind him. As for the Chelsea, perhaps it would be better to work as a team to show that they are capable of filling the gaps and by so doing will give the fans more confidence that they can still go all the way. They perhaps could dedicate their games to Kerry and thereby be more inspired to go that one extra step it takes to be a winner.

I think Jose Mourinho are the best coach off the world but he can put players in a good level changing his positions her centrals defenses are all injury soo he have too put other players there soo the level going down this is the cause for chelsea results actually

I don't question that he is one of the best coaches, at least in Europe. However, he is doing what he did in Porto...just can't seem to get the right players on the pitch at the right time. I was sorry that Man. Utd. lost as it didn't cause Chelsea to go behind even more. Thanks for your input.

Ok, but you left out Abramovich. He's thinking of hiring an assistant coach who has worked with Shevi on other teams. That hasn't gone over well with Mourinho....but adds fuel to the fire that he may leave at the end of the season to go to Real Madrid or Inter Milan. What effect will this have on the team, in addition to Kerry's injury? Not a very good one I am thinking. While we can't fault Mourinho as he is still one of the best coaches in the world, the get up and go that he showed when he first arrived in Chelsea is beginning to slow down. The question is whether the players are fed up with Abramovich or Mourinho or both. Chelsea is certainly not out of the race for the championship but they seem to be making it harder and harder each week to keep up with Man utd.
