Is IQ overrated as a measure of intelligence?

Psychologists disagree about the nature of intelligence and I've spent several years working with companies that test and develop intelligence or mental ability. The most common measure of "smartness" or intelligence is IQ, but we likely all know someone who has been tested as having a high IQ but who seems "dumb" in some areas. What do you think about IQ scores?

hello, well this IQ test might be good to test you for your intellicense in a certain theme like mathe, history, science but to really be able to tell how smart someone is through an IQ test i don't think is possible. i don't consider myself as not intelligence, but i bet the IQ test will rate me as a loser.;-) maybe i won't score so high, because i'm just very good at learning and memorizing things and don't have a knowledge about all the things they test you for. ciao vicky
