What is the big problem with car salesman. I was talking to this person in a coffee shop. Just chatting asking what I use to do and what I do now. After I tell them that I sell cars they seem to act differently. I dont know its just the comments that are made torwards me after I tell them. What does everyone think?

I think most people see car salesmen as swindlers. Always trying to get as much money out of people as they can and doing whatever they can to sell as many cars as they can to earn a higher commission. Not saying it's true about ALL car salesmen, but that's just the reputation most seem to have. Know what I mean?

I can understand that car salesman dont have the best of reputations. But..... I have been in this buisness for about 5 6 months now and salesman now only look like liars and swindlers is because the customer is more of a liar and swindler than the salesman are. Customers go and play dealerships against dealerships and salesman against each other aswell. I think the salesmans reputation would get better if customers stopped doing what we are accused of doing and sometimes worse then what we would do. The things I could tell you what customers have done would shock you. Alot of which myself and all of the salesman I work with would never think to do.

Here is a story about some nasty car salesmen. Now I know this is not you, but it would take a super computer to count the number of people that have been ripped off by car salesmen. http://www.blogfeast.net/djbtol/honest_car_salesman
