Well your rating is the number you have inside the star which comes along with your name. Yours is a great 8 so dont worry about your rating. It suggests that the responses U post are all good stuff. Keep It Up .Mine is 6 right now but am hellbent on improving it.

if you mean the rating in general related
to Mylot earnings then it is the number of
points that we have got thru posting on this
site . it is given in brackets after the
user name . At present it is 161 for you .
The star rating is Mylot users reputation
system . It has been added recently . And
more details are available here on a
discussion started by Mylot admministrating
staff : http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/573319.aspx

this is what i understood from mylot guidelines.
users with a user rating of less than 100 will not yet have myLot reputation
myLot reputation is determined by the myLot community, not user
It doesn’t mean that 8 stars means “good user” and 5 stars means “bad user” only indicate how active user are
increase your reputation is by contributing quality topics, responses and comments and avoid breaking mylot rules!

Thanks for the topic.I too had the same doubt.By reading all the responce I came to know to some extent. But, I had another doubt..
WHEN ONE WILL HAVE THE ON THERE AVATHAR,I DONT HAVE ANY STAR?
DOES IT MEAN THAT TILL NOW MY TISCUSSIONS ARE NOT RATED POSITIVE?

if someone gives + ratings to our started
discussions or our responses then it will
help in increasing of points and earnings .
But we donot know how Mylot calcultes the
+ ratings . A complex algorithm is used to
calculate our earnings and + ratings is a
variable in the formula ...

I think you are talking about the star ratings. Yours is an 8, there is a star above members names with over 100 posts -- 10 is the highest you can get. Mine is a 9.
