Ok lets see it this way, if Ronaldo has not been long enough with the club, then why was Wayne Rooney included, as he joined much later and i feel Ronaldo the only thing, he was lacking till this season was not scoring ample goals - which he has completely started doing, this season - stil do u feel its fair... ????
and as far as Beckham is concerned, he also helped the club win a title or two and the charishma which was started by his seniors, reached a whole new level... and helped the club earn even more money and recognition, like its a fact only after "Beckham-ERA" did MAN U have more fans than any other club in ASIA, as well...

good point
Should ve fergie included ronaldo and beckham
and was it correct to hav rooney
i personally think
beckham wont be in that list
especially after the boot incident
and he choosin roooney over ronaldo
is cos , of their off pitch character
and the training styles
i heard rooney is one hellova character
who will be everywher in the trainin
he will play as a striker , go to midfield
at times go and defend and even has been the goalie
he has that cantona style of character , which will makehim the best person to train
which ronaldo isnt
ronie is a great talent
but a very silentperson off the field
sad he is portugues :D
but however he wil go on to be one of the club greats

great discussion buddy, but the concern is don't you feel its gotta to do with, he being a english player and also that if he would ve picked Ronie den d local public(ppl.) would have gone against his decision and also this would have made feel Rooney left out and could be because of such unfairness he would have even thought of leavin' d club - BUT i knw one thing for sure - the game dey shw are too gud 2gether and Ronie is much more accomplished overall like including "header-part" which is weakest of Rooney knowingly he had scored for first time for the club by a header only on last week-end but STILL - many of EX-Players discuss and give reviews that Ronie has it in him 2 b d best ever of his generation as THE only part he was lacking was scoring goals but lukin' dis season in consideration he has not only bettered this but proven to all, that he has d skill and with it - THE ABILITY to score goals also... nd I feel a person shld b judged in such discussions ONLY nd ONLY of the way he plays' and on virtue of it ALONE... do speak as its good to discuss with someone who has the off-field information also of the club...!!! CHEERS!!!!

well chossin the best five players from a club like united is vey difficult.it has a rich histroy and has a large number of very famous players but at the end of the day we have toselect the top5 so this is how my list would go on:
1)george best
2)bobby charlton
3)eric cantana
4)ryan giggs
5)wayne rooney
now my buddy whos posted this topic u would love to know y rooney is preffered ahead of ronaldo...i agree with u sayin ronaldo is agreat talent and a wonderful playmaker to watch, but the reason for me preferring to rooney is simple.he is special as an instinctive player who can single handedly beat an opposition with his brute power,he also suits the english style of play and if u remember over the years ronaldo has been highly criticised of diving.this season hes been phenomenonal but then he is a slowly developing player and will go on to become a more refined and great player but for now rooney is a lot better because of his instinct in front of goal and his ability to turn a game around after all he was the trump card of enngland at the recently concluded world cup
Anyways Cantona was a stunning player to watch. He is a great ambassador of the game and was a fine player. He epitomised the number 7 jersey of the red devils that was later passed on to the likes of becks and ronaldo.
Giggs has been a loyal servant of utd, serving them for ages,he has won everything for united over the past 2 decades and is that stuff that legends are made of.A skilled player who is delightful to watch.truly brilliant as a winger.
Best was one of the best strikers united has ever had

i agree with you on most of the things except the "rooney-ronaldo" - agreed his has brute power but why do you forget that Ronaldo is extremly nippy, and he has also added new dimension to the game with his skill-dribbling and buddy he is 100 times better in the air("Header-Part") than Rooney and you talking like Rooney can kill any opposition with his brute force then same ways Ronaldo can kill any opposition with his pace, dribble and class of comibining with team-mates including Rooney. The only thing he(Ronaldo) was lacking before this season, has now been his greatest sensation and asset, i.e. his goal scoring abilities and mind you buddy this season he is in top contention of being the highest scorer in EPL... but one thing i would like to appreciate of yours buddy and that is, your facts(knowledge) of the game for the club is amazing and hats-off to you for the same...cheers!!!

My top 5 would be -
Bobby Charlton
George Best
Duncan Edwards
Ryan Giggs
Roy Keane
Although Dennis Law, David Beckham, Paul Scholes, Gary Neville, Peter Schmeichal and others deserve to be there. There are simply too many great players to give an accurate top 5.

we ain't talkin' of their attitude, dear friend - v discussing of top 5 for MAN U and as player's... not in as person - and we are the fans and we have every right to pick our top 5 players, - its ain't necessary that what coach agree's with, the fans also have to... at times they can be different and we started this discussion beacuse we( me and my friends and general people as well... where in the reviews had been taken on the same.... majority of them had voted for Ronaldo more than Rooney... its good that you agree with Sir Alex' top5 - but it certainly ain't "lol kndz... discussion..." - good luck
