Help With Best Response

How long should you wait to select a best response ? I thought I was doing that when I was rating the people who answered to my questions but I just noticed that it still says that I have not selected the best response . So I am assuming I have to click on the best response beside the names , but how long do you usually wait to select one ? Thanks

I reckon a few days so you have a better choice, you don't want to end up giving it to a mediocre response just before someone blows you away with an amazing one do you?
