What would we do without internet!

I find it so hard to live without the internet connection these days. The technology makes people connect to others very easily. The world become smaller; only a matter of typing. Have you ever been in a position where this browsing internet business become so addicted for you? That when within one day, not opening your mailbox, you feel like something is still missing? The day only starts when you wake up in the morning and start your laptop! LOL So, would you even imagine yourself not having any internet connection? After all, we won't be busy posting in the myLot if it's not because of the internet. Or maybe I am addicted?

Yeah maferick, we are in the same spot here, I guess. I am a net freak and a net addict! LOL Technology has gone so far that we gain lots of benefit from it. And you're absolutely right; with the internet connection, I don't have to feel numb after talking too long ofer the phone. Instead, I am more capable in typing fast. Internet rocks, eh. Thank you for responding maferick, nice knowing you. cheers.

Same here, I even watch the movie from the internet. Since thesedays, you could get almost anything from the net. Online shopping, web tv, homelearning, etc. Unbelievable what this so called machine and it's connection are giving us nowdays. I wouldn't wanna imagine what might happen with the growing up technology through the net. Thanks for responding, Starlady0_1.

After almost 5 years using internet everyday several hours a day I can't imagine myself living without it. Anyway if I had to I think I would surely be able to do so after sometime getting used to do so. If we think about it there's a lot of things to do besides internet but anyway it would be really difficult for me.

I thought I was the only one. (with a grin on my face right now) My mom used to say, that my body would be shivering when I don't look up to this so called personal computer within 5 minutes! I get a withdrawal sympthoms if I don't use the machine for 5 minutes. How sad, eh!!! But I do believe you are right. There are so many things we could do besides browsing internet. It's just so difficult to stay away from 'it's' charm. :( O well. Thank you for responding, ownado. I honestly thought I was the only freaking internet user. Godspeeds.

it would be a very bad day for me, if i had no give up the internet, because i'm on it all day long. my husband complaints about it all the time. it is crazy what for things can lead you to become "addicted" to them. ;-) as long nobody gets hurt it can be too bad. ciao vicky

Ha ha ha.. yeah, as long as the food still on the table for him to eat, the cute little pie baby of yours doesn't complain yet; maybe he wouldn't mind you staring at the computer for hours. Thank you for responding to the discussion Vicky86. Appreciate you are sharing your so called 'addiction'. God bless.

I must say that that's a very good question. What would I do without the internet now? I'd be typing on Excel I guess, working hard, trying to get everything right. At night? I'd probably watch a lot of tv since there isn't much else to do. My notebook has been a companion to me for so long, I can't live without it. When I feel bored all I have to do is log on, look for people to chat with. Ever since discovering mylot, I've not been so bored that I log on to chat. I actually come here to see what others have to say and maybe post a few questions myself and at the same time earn some cash. Its a win-win situation for me!

I am a student in a nursing program. On Mondays and Tuesdays I have 12 hour workdays. On Wednesday I have a test. So, I am going through withdrawals on these days! I can't wait to get back to "the world at my fingertips!" My husband runs the remote for the TV, so I run the mouse!
