What do you guys think off the new DVD from their recent acoustic tour "Skin and Bones"? I Haven't been able to watch, but I will certainly do it because I heard a lot of good reactions about it.

I actually loved this DVD. I prefer it to the big old stadium gigs. It's a lot more intimate, which seems to give the songs more depth, more meaning. I liked the idea of the big "Foo's Family" on stage with musicians other than the usual Foo's line up. I've never heard the triangle played so well!!! It's a definitely a worthwhile purchase. There was a similar gig in London, UK, that I sadly missed. The tickets were put on sale the night before, by newsletter email only. The one night I happened not to check my email. I hoping it'll happen again, not sure how likely that is. Waiting to see what the new album will be like. It's being recorded in September time, not sure about a release date. Fingers crossed for an acoustic album!!! x

Hi, I've seen the dvd and it's quite amazing. Some adaptions to the acoustic are better than others, mostly like Cold Day In The Sun and My Hero. Totally different than the electric shows, great adds with other musicians also, like the guitarist who helped nirvana live to.

I have the DVD but I haven't had a chance to watch it yet. Hopefully I'll get around to watching it soon.

It's definitely a change of pace. Listening to the CD isn't as good as watching the DVD. With the CD you're just hearing the songs, but this is supposed to be a live performance; it's not Foo Fighters live without banter between band members and Dave Grohl joking with the crowd and telling stories. Not to mention the fact that there are many more songs on the DVD because they had to edit and cut things out to make it fit a single CD format. I'd have to say the songs I liked best as acoustics are Times Like These, Everlong, and See You.
