what is the best thing to put with rice?

are you asking about what to put into the rice or what to put with rice as in what dish goes with rice?

I think dried and salted seaweed from Korea is really good with rice. You put rice on the seaweed and you roll it around the rice. You can put in some meat and vegetable strips as well inside the seaweed roll. This is like Japanese maki but easier to make and more delicious.

One fo the best dishes is rice pilaf....you simmer the rice in chicken broth and add a little bit of your favorite spices to it. Then you add some frozen vegetables to it-such as peas and carrots and serve it with a meat. It is very easy and very good!

Just a drop or two of soy sauce is good! I like it with just a hint of butter sometimes. I like it prepared with chicken broth rather than water, then add some peas and carrots into it too! I love rice!

i eat my rice along with some other food. chicken, broccoli, bok choy, potatoes, etc.

Is it weird that I've never actually heard of anyone putting cheese on rice? My whole family likes to put butter on theres, which I used to do when I was little, but then they started putting mounds of it on there so I got sick of it and now I like it with soy sauce better. Someone else had said just a few drops put I practically drown mine in it :P . I'm going to have to try maybe putting cheese on it next time...

A tomato salad would fit right in...

With rice I usually use just soy sauce. I don't like the taste of just plain rice, but let me put that soy sauce on it and I enjoy it very much.

my hubby introduced me to rice and eggs with a little soy or seasoning, i know it is just chinese fried rice bt it is better home made, and i love it with stewed tomatoes, also with fresh cut tomaotoes and cucumbers and and a little lemon pepper seasoming, whaaahoo, making me hungry!!!!

Oh, and one more thing that I like to eat with rice: BAGOONG! This is salted and fermented fish sauce that is popular here in the Philippines. I like it best with green mangoes in it! This is so delicious, I promise! Thinking about it already makes my mouth water!

cheese is delicious, but it can also be boring if there are no other spices. :) i think you can also use tomato sauce and make paella. :)
