Irony of ASL

Although most of us always claim it doesnt matter, but ASL is still perhaps the most widely asked question in initial chat sessions. why does it matter so much to know the ASL, why cant we just chat?

i agree with you phmaker, i don't see the point is people knowing or asking you ASL, if there going to chat to you then go ahead but if there not, then don't.

The expectations of most people that ask for ASL is funny. They feel they might just run into the love of their life in the process of chatting.
