Hey ive just joined this site today and found your message ive been a member of slimmimg world since the 14th of september 06 until present and enjoy every minute of it, ive lost 2 stone up to now and just need to loose one more and thats me done!! im aiming to loose my next stone before my holiday in august.....not long to go i know but i think im gonna have to get doing some exercise to reach my target before i go on holiday, feel free if you would like any tips or help on this id love to share what i eat with ya etc :-) x

Hi - First of all big congrats to the weight loss :-)
I kinda drifted off this plan as I wasn't losing anything. I still buy the mag though as I love the recipes. I faulted on this diet because I used to struggle with ideas for lunch. I am quite a fussy eater and I also work funny shifts so often find it hard to have something that I like and that fills me up. When I first started the diet I wasn't losing anything so eventually gave up. However I have also got a holiday booked in August which has given me a bit of will power to dig my old exercise dvd's out. I am currently doing Vicky Entwistles and have done it 3 times so far since Monday. I would ideally like to lose at least half a stone or near enough before my holiday. Any tips on tasty meals for dinner would be a great help please :-)

I love food too - I'm especially partial to pasta and potatoes. My mother in law gave me the food optimising book, directory and the branded foods book. I look at them occasionally. The mixed stew sounds nice - is this just vegetables? I did the chicken hot pot recipe out of the mag and it was so nice I cooked it loads afterwards then kinda drifted off the menu when I wasn't losing anything.

the key is that you have to know how much of certain foods you can have, ideally i try to keep my pasta and meat away from one another and tend to have my meat more with salad and veg, if your having meat you have to weigh your pasta and potatoes if your having pasta you have to weigh your meat etc but if you use bread as a helath extra then you can only have a few potatoes with your meat etc, and this is how i got my head around it, i still have to check my book sometimes though cos i was having a tuna salad and the salad had sweetcorn on it and you can only have this with a green dish, same with peas to lol so there are things that i still mess up on now and have to keep refering to my book, but little things like that can stop you from loosing weight, i really need to start doing some jogging lol cos i know that will defo make me loose weight evan though i cant run for toffy its the only thing that gets me out of breath so i know it works lol xx
