How can I advertise my blog better?

I am trying to find a way I can better advertise my blog. I love working on it, but I want people to see it! Ya know, it's like if people don't view it, it seems like all my hard work has gone done the drain!!! What is the best way to get hits on my site? Thanks in advanced for your tips! :)
