Once in awhile, I'll house sit for a friend. This is actually not all that much fun and is more difficult than you'd think, especially if there are pets involved, and you're travelling any distance back and forth from your house to theirs. But I did housesit for a week at a time for a couple up in the mountains. Their house was a dream, they paid me well and stocked the house with whatever I wanted to eat. I only had to feed the cat and all the wildlife. It was more like a paid vacation.
