What is a creative, yet romantic way for a guy to propose?

ok my bf proposed to me last year and i thought it was sweet and very thoughtful and romantic. He came over for new years eve and as it became midnight he he went to the dark street and set up a fireworks display while i got my grandparents and then he set them off at midnight and he asked me to marry him while they were going off. but one tipped over and started firing at us so make sure he dont get ones that tip over easy but that is one night i will never forget.
