I was wondering if anyone has satellite radio. We are driving a rental car while waiting to get our stolen car back and it has satellite radio. To me it would be a waste of money to pay for this service. I would be interested in hearing from others how they feel about Satellite Radio. I am in Canada

The first time I ever saw a car with satellite radio was when I was taking a cab somewhere. The driver was explaining it all to me. Now you have to pay a monthly subscription rate. There are 2 different companies that are competing for this business. I think it's just another money grab but at the same point there are programs I wouldn't mind listening to once in awhile. Now under one of the companies Oprah and Friends is channel 156 and every hour there is someone talking about a different topic. Like Dr Oz who is always on her show, or her friend Gayle, or her fitness guy, or her decorator Nate Berkus. So I was kinda interested in that but I did hear it for 3 days when I got a free trial and it wasn't that big of a deal. Now on the other companies channels they have Martha Stewart channel which I wouldn't mind listening too but again it isn't something I want to pay for. Where I think they are going to get a lot of customers is for those who listen to a lot of the broadcasts from other countries. I know the cab driver had on BBC and said that he could listen to news channels in many different languages. That might be the big drawing card. Not sure though.
