Do advertisements influence you in buying a product?

When I see an advertisement that shows something different,im thrilled by it.I wanna somehow buy that product and give it a shot provided it is not a very expensive item.
Im not always a brand loyal person.
eg:I was using a facr cream for years, when I saw something new and better, the way they advertise,I immediatly wanted to try it out.And it somehow happens to be really better than my previous brand.
Sameway with most things. But for me,all those I choose best match me and I somehoe benefit.Very rarely mistakes happen. How loyal are you to your daily use brand?Would advertisements make you switch?

This is how our world goes around. Somepeople produce something. They broadcast news about the product. They emphasize the effects, the goodness. However, be care that they also try to hide the shortcomings. So getting some info from reviews on the comodity you are interested in may be a wise way to select a better brand name or a better priced product.

For me, sometimes yes, especially the shampoo coz i am obviously very extra careful with my hair. But if i found that this will be not effected then i stop using it.

I'm all for trying new products. If I see something and it looks appealing, I will check it out. If it's in my budget, I'll buy it. It's nice to have a favorite brand but a lot of things change with time, usually for the better. I would rather be using a new and improved product vs. my trusty old brand.

Yeah, it will make me switch, especially what I like to try out is shower soap, I like to change brand every time I finish a bottle hehehehe
However, there are certain things that I would be loyal too, such as my shampoo and conditioner.. I always use pantene, I have tried many other and switch many times, but I found out that pantene is what really suits me best. So yeah I guess if you can find something that you think suits you best, then I guess you would not change brand, unless you found that the item you are using right now is not as satisfactory as you would like it to be, then you will be tempted to use other brands.

I guess I am like a kid when it comes to television and commercials I see stuff and I want. I am always curious about the things I see and want to try it out. There maybe be a few brands like Dawn dishsoap. I think nothing compares to it taking away grease, of course that is my opinion. But otherwise I'm versitile and like to try new things till I find the right product for me that I like and have to have.

I think sometimes they do, dependent on the brand and what it is for, sometimes I try generic brands that do not justify the quality of the product unfortunately, hence the old "you get what you pay for" logo comes into play, but a lot of what I try and end up liking does come from commercials that somewhat influence the decision to try the product.

i think sometimes they do influence me. i know that recently i saw a commercial for a mascara that looked really amazing, so i went out and bought it a few days later. ive also bought some stuff ive seen on infomercials like proactiv and bare minerals makeup. i guess it depends.

Yeah I would have to say they do. Especially if its food that looks so good. I might not buy it right away but I will certainly eat. But yes you tend to pay more attention when something is celebrity endorsed. I'm still dying to try that proactiv that vanessa williams endorses.

It happens to me when Im caught in a gadgets store or a computer utilities store or even a mobile store. Like last time I bought an incompatible graphics card for the HD DVD disc that i got for free inside. I had seen the movie on DVD a couple of times but wanted to check the quality of HD DVD. I ended up buying a whole new second hand system. I also bought a mobile handsfree car set which can only be used with my Dad's phone.

yes and even most of the time if i switched into other products i found out that its best than the brand i used before. but on the other hand i used to returned my old brand because of the price of the new product is much higher than my old brand.
