excluding the medicine, i ussualy pays 100.000 - 150.000 rupiah (U.S. $ 11-17) per visit. When i catch cold, stomachache, or other general illness, that's the price that i ussualy pays. The medicine cost vary between 30.000 - 200.000 rupiah (U.S. $3-$22) depends on the illness. what about yours ? in your country ? im courious to compare the medicine cost in the world.

Hey Im quite lucky in Australia as we have what they call "Medicare" so that means the government actually pays for your GP and some of the medicine.. hehehehe So whenever I go to the General practitioner.. I dont pay anything.. government will pay them.. however if I go to specialist or something then usually it is about 80-100AUD ( and then the government will reimburse me about 25-30% of the expense) As for the medicine.. I dont know.. it is different for every chemist in here.. it varies around 5aud to about hundreds of dollars depending on what medicine that you would need...

The general practisioner here in Australia, we are covered by medicare, so we have to pay only $5 from $30 of original price, so if you are an international visitor and go to GP here, its gonna be expensive. the medicine cost is not that expensive.. maybe 10-15 dollars for flu and all that.
