amd or intel?

AMD vs INTEL - This picture shows two chips a AMD and an INTEL chip and it basically just shows them like they're going into a boxing match.

So which one do you prefer and why? I normally choose INTEL but i recently chose to buy an AMD and I'm so happy. But does it really matter which one you choose? at a certain level I'm sure it does, but not at the average user-level! What do you think?

AMD will be better because Intel: FSB speed=800 mhz half duplex L1 cache=28kb L2 cache=1mb or 2mb (more L2 cache causes heat generation) power consp.=84W AMD: FSB speed=1600-2000 mhz full duplex L1 cache=128kb (more L1 cache enhances performance) L2 cache=512kb power consp.=67W Now u can judge.

see... intel is still coming for 32bit, however amd is avilable for 64bit operating system.... ofcourse OS lke windows Vista , will run faster on 64 bit operating system rather than 32 big operating sstem.... Yes.. .onece 64 bit Intel is avilable.. i will say, spped wise... Intel would be faster than AMD.

cool. Thanks so much. I forgot about the whole 32bit and 64 bit thing. You are def right. I'd prefer AMD just because it has 64bit and intel is coming out with theirs. Thanks for point that out to me.

amd has been in thr driver seat for the last one n half yeras....but intel has come up with its core 2 duo processor which is the best processor avai;able.....amd promises to come up with its quad-processor code named barcelona....which for sure will overcome the core 2 duo..... i think for gaming n all amd is the best...but for appliactions intel has got a slight advantage.....

i prefer AMD since i am using one.I use AMD because --comparatively cheap --high performance --high stabilty --greater support for gaming i recommned AMD FX 64 bit computing.It has many advantage over intel pentium 4 processors.but i heard that intel pentium duo core2 is much better than other precedures and a like performance with AMD 64.so i f you are going to buy a new computer either you go for AMD FX 64 or Pentium 4 Duo core 2. thank you! intel,amd,athlon,duo core2,pentium,processors,fx64,performance,stabilty,cheap

I prefer to but AMD .. since using celeron 300 A I allready switch to amd .. using duron series .. 650 750 .. than athlon xp 1.7 1.8 .. the latest one using amd 64 3000+ all is makes me satisfied ... it's cheaper to intel if we compare value vs perfomance ... Intel I think if the conroe procs is getting chipper may be my become my next procs ... but for right now still stick with amd ...

Intel is the Best, the Intel Core 2 Duo Is just to Cool for running all kinds of servers
