Hi. My computer came with spysweeper (with no antivirus component) and NAV '06 pre-installed. The free trial versions of both have now expired. I'm now trying to decide how to revamp my security apparatus. Here are the options I am now looking at:
1. ZoneAlarm firewall, either spycatcher or windows defender, and AVG free antivirus.
2. spysweeper 5.2 w/ sophos antivirus included, plus ZoneAlarm firewall.
3. spysweeper 5.2 w/ sophos AV, and NAV '07.
4. spysweeper 5.2 w/ sophos AV, and NIS '07.
5. spysweeper 5.2 (w/o the sophos AV), and NAV '07.
6. spysweeper 5.2 (w/o the sophos AV), and NIS '07.
7. NIS '07 (and nothing else)
Of these 7 options..can anyone tell me which is the best option (performance is my main concern, not price)? Also, if you happen to say that choice #1 is the best overall, can you tell me anyway which of #2 through #7 is the best (since i'd like to get a feel for what my best option is among the paid choices)? And, if anyone thinks there is an option even better that these, please let me know.
NOTE: the reason i'm considering spysweeper 5.2 w/ sophos and also NIS '07 is because of the high praise they got on the PC MAG web site. They are both top "editor's choices." CNET was not as enthusiastic about the spysweeper 5.2 w/ sophos, or NIS '07 for that matter.
Thanks..I appreciate anyone's insight.
