Is a success result of hardwork? or exacting plans? or a driving ambition?

My normal belief about success is it is a result of hard work, exacting plans and driving ambition.
But some times I see the inverse is true with friends arround me.
None of these three are needed for success in their case.
Why is it so?
How do they manage this miracle?

i agree with you.but the main part is the called luck.if there is luck you can get all of this by non of the above qualities.according to me even if you do work hard and do all those things you need luck to succeed in the area that you are in.but i can say that success attained through hard work is more satisfying than lucky ones.

hum to be really successful, you need tp have all three. hard work, planing, and ambition. those who dont have all these can never be successful. You have all these and you find people getting results with out all these? take it granted that they can never go beyod that, but the burning ambition you have takes you to even highr leves and make your vision more than they have, and hard work never goes waste, u do hard work and u learn some thing which others dont do, it may be of no use now, but it may help you think in abetter way when situations demand, its like u become more visionary when you know more things. and plannig, thats must if you want the results in time and the way you want.

well all the three points you have written is necessary for getting sucess.first of all you will have to think that what is the field or discipline in which you are going to get sucess .then you have to plan for that it means that how you are going to get for example a student set plan that he will studu for ten hours in a day.then you will have to hard work to get sucess.

To a very large extent, success is the result of hardwork and that is true for almost 98% of cases, there the odd 2% that defies that logic, and that is where LUCK comes into play, sometimes you are just lucky to be at the right place at the right time, and things will just work out like dream, but do not be deceived even with the 2%,they have to work doubly hard to keep that thing that comes to them easily thru LUCK,SO KEEP WORKING HARD ,I don't know of any shortcut to success,as we can't rely on mother luck, that will be fatalistic.

Success has 3 stages...
1.BEING..these are the qualities stage,,...hardwork,focussed concentration,persistance etc...
2.DOING...execution of plans stage...
3.HAVING. getting the result, the fruit of actions in your hands...This is the formula for success from the inside out, the outside in formula is what you have said, as being seen in your friends.
