I think I was about 25 or so, I relised that the world does not revolve around me and I have actual responsibilties. It was when my second child was born. She was a reality check for me!

When I got pregnant at 14 years old.
I had to learn right away how to handle telling my mother. I had to face and know what it felt like to have the father to be walk away and leave me standing on my own.
I had to make the decision what I wanted to do with the pregnancy.
I had to face kids at school that found out later and talked about me behind my back.
I had to defend myself for the girls that had a crush on the father to be saying that I was ruining HIS life!
There were so many things I had to face when I was 14 years old...I think I definitely grew up then!

It seems like a lot of people 'Grow Up' when they have a baby. You were probably really grown up then any other 14 year old that I know.
You had to be grown up to make those decisions, and face the facts and harsh words.
You turned out great, and I love you!! :DD

This is such a great question. I can't believe no one else has responded to it!
I was in my thirties before I really grew up. I'm not quite sure I'm there yet, though. Sometimes I will talk with people, some of whom are younger than me, and I feel like a little kid around a bunch of grownups. Kinda stupid really.
Having kids was the biggest thing that made me grow up. I still get along better with kids than adults. Children are just so much more open minded than most adults.

I don't think that I have grown up yet!
I am still in High School, but that will be over soon! And, I really miss being a little child. All of the fun times and not as much stress.
So, I really don't think that I have'Grown Up' yet! :P LOL

Living the life I did as a kid I always knew that the world didnt revolve around me in fact the world revolved around everyone BUT me LOL so thats not a factor and since I've been on my own since 13 y/o responsibilities I'd also been very familar with....So in all reality I grew up very young...Of course over the yrs I've definately fine tuned it in a lot of ways...
