Is Dumbledore really dead?

Some people say that he is... Some people say that he's alive and that it is all part of the plan to once and for all kill Voldemort.
Personally, I feel that he is still alive. Hiding somewhere, badly hurt, but still alive.. The events in book six left a lot of unanswered questions and am waiting for the seventh to see if my hunch is correct. Do you think he's alive or dead? Why?

Jo said in an interview last year that Dumbledore wouldn't be pulling a Gandalf, so I can only interpret that to mean that our favorite headmaster has truly left us.
In the genre Jo's writing in, it seems the old wizard always has to die. Alas.
But at least we still have his portrait...

but i believe he allready prepare for harry to kill voldemort an snape..
i hate snape so much, he is traitor.. no place for him in this world..
