convertible 929 1985

I live in Australia and have just purchased a 1985 929 convertible . I understand that this is a very rare car in Australia .I have contacted the Mazda web site here in Australia for information . They tell me that mazda didnt sell that car into the Australian market . Can any one tell me where these cars may have been sold ? and would they have had the same name . gayle daniel
