Why many people hate Muslims,

Perhaps that hate comes from a root cause - fear. There has been a lot of that around since 9/11 and unfortunately, those terrorists are extremists. With so much bombings and killings around the world by extremists, even world leaders are sending the message that we are to be careful in our interaction with certain ethnic groups of people, that we do not unnecessarily incite their anger. Sadly, this has caused fear and then hatred to rise up from the hearts of millions around the world. I am a Christian and know of Muslim friends who are also marginalised because of this. The works of extremists can certainly create a bad ripple effect on the rest of their people. Fear is also a result of the lack of knowledge or the presence of wrong information. Do we really know who our neighbours, our Muslim friends are? Do we understand their culture, their beliefs. We may not subscribe to what they believe in but that is no reason for us to shut out all knowledge about them.

If you ask me people that hate Muslims and ask the types of questions I have seen on here are very narrow minded when it comes to who Muslims are as people. They basically buy into the train of thought that all Muslims are terrorists which is just ridiculous.

People hate muslims because the terrorist are claiming to be muslims when they are not, because they will all burn in hell for the sins they have committed against others and for killing themselves, Islam says that, they die in the name of god only to burn in hell for eternity and that's the part they forget to learn as muslims. So now most non- muslims believe that all muslims are terrorists. And one more thing as humans it's in our nature to believe the bad over the good, go back to Adam and Eve, it's the same thing, it's called the circle of life, the majority of humans are not very well educated, and that's where the hatred comes from, a lack of knowledge.

I'm indian, and a hindu. one of my best friends is a muslim. I dnt hate muslims. its a misconception that muslims are hated. there may be some people who may think that all muslims are extremists/fundamentalists but I think that is not true as you cannot generalise any religion, as there are rotten apples in every religion. A terrorist has no religion.

People hate muslims because they are being induced everyday to do so by the mass-media which are controlled by powerful politically minded groups. These people want the laymen to see Islam as a threat. But Islam is not a threat for the laymen of course, Islam is a threat for these people who wants to control the world. Because if Islam wins, they lose. These people control the world and the overall population by corruption, commiting crimes and attrocities, cheating their own people, making big lies etc. They use all kind of immorals manners to get what they need. Islam is a real threat to them, and not to the ordinary people. Islam is a real threats for criminals and oppressors, just as it was the case for the Pharaohs of Egypt and the other oppressors of that time. They did all what was in their power to suppress the growth of Islam but they failed, no matter how they tried, they will continue failing because Islam is the religion sent by the one and only God, and it has already been destined to be victorious. The enemies of Islam are using all their arsenal against it nowadays, and the most dangerous of all, is not the Bomb, its the mass-media. We know the saying, 'give a dog a bad name'. That what they are doing, they are demonizing and distorting all the facts about islam. And leading people astray, inducing in them an unconditional and unnecessary hate. Islam is a religion of peace. Put that in your mind.

Because they seem so intolerant of other peoples beliefs and viewpoints. Ie... take the cartoon about Mohamed look at all the hate that created in the arab countries burning embassies invading the Un. Marches all round the world. Where as daily in Arab countries they pump out hate everyday about the west and our way of life. So I guess it's the hypocrisy. We are told that Islam is a religion of peace then we see all these things going on round the world that disprove it. Please Don't get me wrong I know Muslims are not all bad people and I don't hate them but until you reign in all these extremist nutters that chop peoples heads off go marching and burning churches cos the pope said somthing that upset you. People aren't going to believe it.These extremists don't do your faith any favours at all

I've found the same thing and it actually makes me very sad because I think these two religions actually have a lot in common but the theological differences are looked at over the basic moral similarities.

I don't hate Muslims. I don't think it's right to hate anyone or anything we don't fully understand or know anything about. Just because some people are bad doesn't mean a whole race/religion/nationality are.

It's the lastest trend isn't it? It was the japanese in WWII- at least most of us have learned a lesson and the U.S. gov't isn't putting Muslim American's in detainment camps-as they did to the japanese americans at the time of WWII. I think on average Muslim's are good people, more than just good. I think they may even hold themselves to a higher moral standard than many others in a lot of ways. I respect most aspects of Islam and Muslims, however the abuse of women in most Islamic countries is horrible.

As long as they are fanatics one would hate them. They should bring themselves into main stream by keeping religion allof and above all. No religion is bad.

I agree with all of you and specially with fizza10 because lots of moslem didnt really do what their religion say.their are conceit and think their the best so they often say bad thing bout other religion. they didnt use their brain and religion path to act they only using their ego.but not all moslem like that
