There should be stricter laws against it because kids shouldn't be working. They should be educated before work. In third world countries, some kids even work because their parents are too lazy to work. It saddens me to see these kids going through garbage to earn a few bucks. In America, parents will go to jail if their kids don't go to school. The children are the future of this world, they should be well taken care of.

Child Labor is ofcourse wrong if perhaps you are talking about young children working to support their family instead of learning and growing through normal childhood development. Unfortunately we as a society have yet to find a way to ablolish it. The majority of people only look at what is in their back yards and not the global society. What I find most amazing (living in the US)is that we view child labor so harshly but do little to nothing about it. At the same time we (as a group not my personal opinion) don't believe our children should do basic work to enrich the life of the family. I have a 6 and 2 year old. They are both responsible for various chores. My 6 yr. old can wipe down the bathroom, help fold laundry, clean her room, dust etc. My 2 year old dusts, picks up toys and will throw trash away. I always get two reactions to that. One that thinks I am an awful mother and the other doesn't understand how I get them to do it. My point is really that we must teach our children good work ethic and allow them to feel as though they are contributing to society. We should not exploit them is making them responsible for more that their cabablities. As an American I believe we don't think Globally about how our actions can affect society in general.

i think its unfortunate that we still have child labour in our society,,,,, i would suggest the age limit for ban of child labour should go up from 14 to 15 years or upto the matriculation completion.... what do you say?

child labor is a sign of how ill our society has become. the enty of children in the labor force deprives the children of their childhood, where they can play, laugh like normal kids do without thinking of having to earn to help their family. i really pity the children who work. this is a sad thing that has happened in our world.
