what do u think the slipknot trademark...their speed or their semi-harsh vocals.

I know they aren't heavy, and many of their songs are nu-metal and suck, but also lots of them are good. I only listen to the good songs. However, I would definitaly choose Pantera over slipknot since pantera kicks a** with ALL their songs. BLS is great also, especially songs like "Demise of Sanity".

i suppose that's just your personal preference and maybe you just dont like their song writing formula. i respect that. but when you said that slipknot is not heavy.. well think again. i dont know how your ears define the word HEAVY when it comes to music. want something heavier? try bands like Decapitated, Fleshgrind, Obituary, Heaven Shall Burn, Darkest Hour, Archenemy etc. let's see if you would think that pantera still is the heaviest. i know pantera is good, but not the best and the heaviest. ^^ with all respect dude.
