I just went through this myself...I jumped to conclusions and accused someone I care for unfairly because I was scared. I was so afraid of the worst and I prayed (meditated, talked, whatever you wnt to call it). Once I started getting correct information, I realized that I was the wrong one. I spoke from my heart and apologized, giving him a chance to continue thinking (the incident happened last Saturday, I apologized Sunday or Monday and then waited and waited and waited. He called on Friday and said he would come over on Saturday (yesterday). I apologized againt and MEANT it. He's forgiven me because I told him the reason why I jumped to conclusions (lack of information and being scared out of my mind). Perhaps a simple gesture of friendship with a heartfelt note...and give them space to decide how they feel. It could be that they are hurting right now and are not ready to accept the apology. Good luck!

the best way to say you are sorry to someone you hurt is when you really mean it and that you really are sorry. just don't say the words "i am sorry" if you really don't really think and feel that you are sorry about how you feel. if you are sure that you feel bad about what you've done, it's the time you should say you are sorry. no need to buy gifts or say so many things. just say you are sorry and make him/her feel that you really mean what you are saying.

The easiest way is to SAY " I AM Sorry". Swallow your pride and just say it. And try not to repeat that mistake.

The best way for you to say i´m sorry is to trully feeling it in the moment you say it,if you are saying it without feeling it you are only cheating on yourself and on the person that receives the apologies.I f you like or love that person you shouldn´t have any problem saying that words.

Its very noble of you to make such a difficult attempt at saying sorry, because of all that life has to offer us saying sorry is the most difficult of them all. If I were you I would have first sent the person flowers with a small note attached saying sorry.

There's a one point in my early life when I keep saying sorry even in small things that I really shouldn't be sorry for. Then a person told me that I shouldn't say sorry if i will just repeat the same offense, intentional or not. Then I realized that Sorry is just another word, What is important is how you have shown that you are really sorry. Try to do something that will mean you're apologizing for the things that you have done. Hope you'll reconcile soon.

The act of saying your sorry can help you to make him/her feel that you are honest and seriously apologizing and that act can make aloud "SORRY" for that people. Remember not doing that mistake again to avoid hurting feelings.

I think everyone's got the right idea. Flowers or something that can be delivered with a message are always a good idea if the other person won't speak to you. Trying to apologize via text message or e-mail never works and if they won't return your calls, you can't tell them what you actually feel. Chances are, someone's going to call you if they get flowers with an apology attached. It might not be immediate but they will call when they're ready to listen.
