my dad and i were drinking buddies before he died...when i was in college i would usually work at our auto repair shop as his apprentice to earn extra money for myself and other school needs...and boy i was good in fixing things...and dad was teaching me more...(auto diesel repair)...near our graduation me and dad had a drinking session in a karaoke bar...he sang this song "the leader of the band"(he was sad as he sings it)after my dad died nobody among his son continued to manage the repair shop(the equipment were sold and the shop closed),though all of us knew how to because dad teached us all how...(me and my 2 brothers are all nurses)...just now while me and my friend attended a party (7years after my dad died) somebody in the group shouted "who knows the song leader of the band,.i said "me i can sing it"(note: im also a good singer like dad)...and so i did...as i sing the lyrics i began to understand why dad was sad when he sang it 7 years ago while we were drinking together.....(because he would have liked for any one of us to continue his legacy...but sadly nobody did)as i sang every word in the song...i never noticed that i was already teary eyed....the one of my friends asked me if im still ok... i just told them..."this is my dads sad song and i never knew until now that it was meant for meshare your own sad song as an act of closure and relief ...this is my true story.....
