Hi, at this point of time, I am using avira antivir personal classic edition. This can be downloaded free at ww.free-av.com I have been using this software for almost two years. Since using it, I have never had any problems at all with regards to the overall function and system performance of my machine. Otherwise, I am so satisfied and grateful with its performance. It updates on a regular basis and can be scheduled at your most convenient time. It is very light on resources and does not use a lot of memory. Hence, does not slow down your machine. It detects and deletes rootkits, worms, and other viruses.
Hope this would help.
Have a nice day and God speed!

well i guess the best anti-virus is Panda....it gives you full protection with the true-prevent tech. invented by panda labs....and even the updates are not really heavy....and removin' the trojan viruses is a child's play for panda.....one of my friends owns it and the anti-virus rocks!
i'm still to experience it on my pc but it worked really great on my friends pc...and the other anti-viruses like norton are really useless....so panda i guess is the better choice...

There is one anti-virus called Kaspersky Internet security which is very good in removing the Trojans and worms. You should probably try that.

I used to use norton antivirus but it started giving problem so i had to stop using it.best antivirus i used ever is AVG-Antivirus. its more secure to use AVG although i also used Norton and Mcafee and many more. but now i am satisfied with the AVG antivirus. its absolutely free for home users and the updates are quite easily updated without so much of time. and it gives the high performance for my computer. Many a times when i am sharing something in my LAN, AVG immediately detects which type of virus is this and completey wipe out the viruses. So i would like to prefer AVG antivirus and also suggest you to use avg instead of any other antivirus.note even though we use latest and upgraded antivirus to protect our system sometimes our system get effected by latest viruses.

In my opinion, Trend Micro makes the best anti-virus programs. For an excellent free one, you can try "avast!Antivirus" (http://www.avast.com). It is very good in detecting and disabling threats right when they happen. Unfortunately, some trojan horses are extremely hard for even anti-viruses to find, so sometimes manual removal is required. So you might want to check out Symantec's Threat Explorer on their website. Good luck!

I don't know if it is best, but MCAFEE works for me in removing trojan virus. There is a free trial for one year. try searching it in the net.

It's either norton internet security or the trend-micro products. I have each on different computers at home and so far, no major crashes from viruses or malwares. Try it
