has anyone ever done it? for what problems? did it work?
i got acupuncture done twice last month. it was a new and weird experience for me, but it wasn't too bad. i did it because of some hormone imbalances i have. the first time i did it on my chest, stomach, thighs, and ankles. she told me that i would start menstruating right after the procedure which i did, even though it wasn't time for my cycle. the second time i had it done on my back. im really interested in going in for more sessions because it seems like an interesting and natural way to cure problems.

i went someplace near my parents' home in the US when i was there for christmas. i know that my cycle started after the first sesson, and my back was sore after the second session as the acupuncturist had warned me. its interesting to think that needles put in the right places on the body can have such a big effect.
im really getting into natural and herbal remedies now because i think they are safer in the long run, and they seem to be working so far. i would recommend going to an acupuncture session just to see how it is for yourself. i was always skeptical and scared before, but it wasnt as bad as i had thought. you cant even feel the needles!

well, i guess it depends where you get it done and who you get it done by. i got it done by a certified acupuncturist in the US who my mom knew. that needles came packaged, and she opened the package in front of me, so i knew that it was all safe.
but, unfortunately, i know there are sick, deranged people in this world, so i think you just gotta research a bit and see who is right for you. of course, i guess this is the same for any doctor or dentist or surgeon. you're not just going to put your life in the hands of someone you dont really know anything about. just look up some acupuncturists in your area. make sure they are certified by a national association or whatever. i think, for the most part, they are safe. otherwise, they wouldnt be in business anymore. just make sure their office isnt in some dark alley :P
the needles they use are just as thin as sewing needles. you can barely feel them at all. i was scared they would hurt, but they didnt! its not like needles used in injections or anything like that.
