If you believe in The Bible: Why?

Did you chose to believe in it? Did your family teach you to believe in it? Do you truly have your own views on it?
My mother is a fairly strong Christian and she tried to teach me and my brother to believe in The Bible. My brother never really believed in it much. He likes to have proof of everything. I believe in The Bible for awhile. I even got my own book and tried to read it. Why? Because my mother convinced me that it was real.
When I got old enough, I realized that I had to think for myself. I really thought about it. The Bible was written by man. It was written in hundreds of different languages. When stories get re-told over and over again, things get mixed up very easily. I realized that so many things could be wrong with it and I chose not to believe in it.
I do believe that there is some higher power out there. I do pray. Who I'm praying to exactly, I don't know. But to me, The Bible is just a make believe storybook.

I used to not believe in the bible despite my Christian upbringing. I later learned how to study the bible in it's original language, and now I have no doubts. I found that all the things that didn't make sense to me was because the bible had been mistranslated, or misinterpreted.
I don't believe any religion is 100% correct, but I know that all of them has a part of the truth. I seek God everywhere, and he is there, EVERYWHERE.
