american woman wants to divorce mexican man

I am american, I have a 3 year old boy born in mexico and he has dual citizenship.I want to leave the country and get a divorce but my husband won't cooperate.Can I just leave the country and get a divorce in America?

you would need to consult a lawyer about that. there are certain legalities in each country and states that needs to be considered as well...safest way is to consult a lawyer
