Are you proud of your company? Embaressed?

How do you feel about the company that you work for? Are there things about it that make your proud to be an employee? Embaressed?
For me, I tend to be proud of my company because it's always winning awards for things like encouraging diversity, supporting cultural events, etc. However, I sometimes feel a bit sheepish about working for a big company rather than a local one.
Anyone else have any feelings to share?

I work the graveyard shift and McDonald's. I feel emberassed because, well...it's McDonald's. When people think of a job at McDonald's, they immediately think it's a loser's dirt job...about as low as you get. But then I think about how much customver service experience I have just from working there for the past two years...I've learned to deal with incredibly difficult people without stressing out in the slightest. That almost makes it worth it..and I know that when I DO find a better job, my experience will pay off.

I am currently working in a huge multi national company and I can say that I am proud to be part of this company. What is just embarrasing is the way some of my co-employees act, especially the higher management. Some of them do not want to understand their employees.

I am a little bit proud to my company (consulting). They are engaged with most of the reputable banks here in our country. So, they have already build their reputation regarding banking systems.

I work for a university. I'm very proud of our academic reputation and how hard we work to provide a good experience for students. I also like being able to say I work in an educational environment, because I'm the type of person more likely to give a lot to my job if I feel like it serves a good purpose.
But there are times when I'm embarrassed too. When I go to conferences and network with others, I sometimes realize how behind the times we are in terms of technology and paying market rates to employees, and then of course I feel a bit embarrassed!
