Is Jesus just a madeup charecter or just a story? AS there are cases that show exagregation on Jesus godly power, if we keep away from religious belives and just think, then we will feel that the story of jesus is just an exagregated story of a basic spirtutual person, who leared some spiritual knowledge and some holisitic medical therapy. Most of the power come fter his visit to India in the times which is keeped off from his story... Lets us discuss.
I ma not saying that the GOD doesnt eexist or not saying bad on a religion..

The historical Jesus (Yashua) is a real person as real as you and I. There were several eye witnesses to the existance other than the Biblical ones such as Josephus, the Jewish historian.
As for the miracles of Jesus (Yashua) those would be up to faith. I believe that anyone that is spiritually in tuned with the Divine is able to perform feats that are above our understandings. If you noticed from the biblical records and those of Josephus the man Jesus (Yashua) did perform some incredible magick, but it was NEVER for selfish gain and this is one reason why I think and believe it is true. Being in touch with the divine would make you want to forget about yourself and do for others.
As a note Ghandi, Mohammed, Buddha, etc... have all got miracles attributed to them not just Jesus (Yashua).
Thank you for the good discussion and have a great day!!

I think Jesus really existed, there are several things that lead us to admit that, scientists discovered places where he lived in Israel, places that the Bible refer to are now discovered, his powers are not exaggerated, and I really think that most people need to believe in a omnipresent power you can call Jesus, Mahoma, Buda, etc

When did Jesus got to India. Natuarally if you don't believe in Him you would doubt the validity of the Bible. those who believe know it's not just a story.

Jesus is not a made up character or story I believe Jesus is true and since i am a christian i believe that Jesus is always there for us in our life. When we accept Jesus as our personal savior then we believe that God exist and not just a character made up or just a story. If you are a christian and belive in God we should know the right and the truth.

i agree with surpluscars.. "Jesus is faith itself.."
if you don't believe in miracles, then the word miracle may not be found in your dictionary.. you would never experience it, and you will never have it.. but if you believe in it, you will see and realize that even a bud turning into bloom is a miracle itself.. seeing is believing, but believing doesn't always mean seeing it..

In my opinion the bible is a fictitious story with the intent to provide a moral core for people to look up to. Jesus Christ may very well have been a conglomoration of many different people who did great acts. Keep in mind that, despite what is written, the Bible was written by man and woman (the Bible has many books of which some did not make it into the the actual Bible but differ from region to region- known fact and not just opinion) and it is a fact, not opinion, that humans tend to overcompensate especially when they feel its to benefit someone else. "The road to hell is paved with good intentions".
Regardless of the fact that Jesus either does not exist or does is not even an issue. I wish people would just focus on their faith which is common sense that such small issues should not create hate. I know I have a fate and that regardless of my actions I am destined to meet it one way or another. This is faith. Some people like to argue that we do not have free will. Bologna. You have a destiny and there are many paths to get there. Yes your fate has been written long before you begin your journey but how you reach that destination is all up to you. You can choose to take the long road and live your life with hate and malice or you can choose to be a good person and then people will love you for it. You don't have to make the travel alone. That is my faith. If you disagree that is opinion, not fact. Problem solved, problem over. But as people we can still co-exist with differing faiths. That is only one of the moral lessons taught by the Bible and through the lives of a Christ who may or may not have existed.

Jesus is not just a madeup by Man or just a story, the fact that He left a lot of evidence to prove that he existed is enough for us to believe that He is true. I also think that His powers are not exagerated but just a reflection of His true being. The Bible holds the key in knowing Him. Try reading the Bible and visit this site. Jesus was a real person. As for what people say as exaggeration on stories, i think what's important is that Jesus' life and teachings was able to contribute something good and great to humanity, just like other important people in other religions around the world.

I believe that Jesus is real and not just a made-up character or story. And I don't think His powers are exaggerated. Come to think of it, where do all of us come from? Where does everything around us come from? Why do we have a heart and a head and body parts? If we exist - if things exist, then there must be a power that made everything exist. And I believe that must truly be God.

"Happy are those who believe that doesn't see" All the things that are happening in this world come from a great power. Don't you think so??? a Miracle... a miracle is something that our human mind can't fathom. About exageration, we have freewill and we were given the knowledge to understand, ask for God's guidance, you will never be lost. Religion can't save us. It will always be FAITH AND GOOD DEEDS!!!

Jesus is neither a made up character nor is he a story. He is a real GOD of all the nations who gave his life for us,SINNERS.Though his powers seem unbelievable u too can experience them if u accept him as your lord and personal savior.

I dont think it really matters if Jesus was a real person or not. Jesus represents an ideology rather than some person. But seeing all the extra importance which has been added to him all the centuries, his basic teachings have gone void
But answering your question, you may not be totally wrong. When Swami vivekananda was on his world tour he also got the same doubt that jesus was not a real person and they stories about him are borrowed from other places. He tried to know more in detail about it and at the end was inconclusive.
Jesus said he was the son of god. It might be really true, as our vedantas speak that everyone is divine and is the son and parts of god himself. Probably he was misterpreted.

I'm not necessarily Christian, but I am not a moron, or so I'd like to think. I'm quite sure that Jesus was a real person and the story of Jesus may be true in a few regards. Now I'm not talking about the Bible so to speak, but just the story of Jesus and his persecution. As far as his miracles go - I can not say. I can only speculate that he might have had a lot of avid believers who wanted to believe in him so much, that stories passed through time have only gotten more and more elaborate and intricate. He's not a made up character, I'm sure. But if he really is the son of God, who can say for certain?

Jesus exists because everytime I look into the eys of m fellowman I see Him. Whether He has powers or not is not the issue. Your faith in Him, his teachings and your future with Him are the power.

In my beliefs, Jesus really exist and we knew him from the bible, which are compiled teaching of His apostles. Most of the people that believe in Him are those who have faith in Him! The power of Jesus as a healer can't be the only basis of His very existence, as a Christian we believe in Him by His goodwill and teachings.
