Post his account name, I am a myLot expert and will analize the situation.
JUST KIDDING :)
I'm no myLot expert, but if you post his account name, maybe people can have a look at his profile/topics and give him some pointers.
Another suggestion: if he thinks there is a problem, he should contact myLot: http://www.mylot.com/o/contactus.aspx

My understanding is that points are awarded based not only on quantity of posts, but on quality. So if he is one of those people who post imbecilic topics (what time is it, what is your favorite color, or my personal favorite -- what do you think of this or that, give reply now -- without giving their own opinion or any comments) then they may not get any credit for their posts. And since these types of posts generate little or no response, they fail to get points there.
Also, if you start a new discussion, you usually get a point for it, but if you then respond to the responses, you get no additional points. For example, yesterday I posted on something that apparently was a hot topic because within 24 hours I had over 100 responses. I responded to about 10 or 12 of them because their comments were intriguing and I felt deserved more discussion. However, I knew there would be no additional points.
Ultimately, if your friend feels he is not getting credit where due, he should contact myLot and have them look at the situation.
