The Beatles - over rated

i am at an age where i grew up with older brothers who were very much into the Beatles. I think they were the most over rated group ever. Dont get me wrong, they had some fantastic songs, i think 21 number ones or something, but the majority of their album tracks were crap. I mean come on, if anyone nowadays recorded the track 'number nine' or wrote a line 'have you seen the little piggies' they would be labelled as utter sh!t.

I also think that they were overrated, but their album tracks were much better than the singles. At least the lyrics on a lot of the album tracks had some personal or social meaning.For me, the best Beatles songs were the ones written by George Harrison. I like the white album, easily their best, but I could never understand the fuss over Sergeant Pepper, it's just boring!!
