Has anyone ever used google adwords? / myLot

if you dont know what that is, all it is are those ads that popup on the right of google when you search there. anyway i wanted to make some by being an affiliate and promting products through adwords but any of the words that i chose as keywords would end up costing me 5 bucks a click. well all im trying to say is nowadays its almost impossible to find words for 5-10 cents. has anyone that used it ever had any success?

Adwords can be a difficult thing to get the swing of, but once you do it can be very rewarding. You are probably just using keywords that are too generic. If you can drill down to more detailed keywords you will be better off in the end, as people that search for more detail things convert better anyway.

actually i was using keywords that had nothing to do with the affiliate product that i was promoting but were generic. thanks for pointing it out.
