Feedback on as seen on oprah

I have seen a lot of postings about the collaboration between paypal and "As seen on Oprah".I have seen someone make a lot of money and I too got on the bandwagon until I started receiving threats about committing criminal activity and was told to drop dead and stop spamming etc and yet many others have been successful posting in the forums and newsgroups.Before I get my head chopeed off I was wondering if anyone has done this and what kind of success or not you may have had.
