When boys are at the ages of 10-12years do you think that they are aware of body odor? I find that most boys this age have to be told that they smell and to go take a shower and use plenty of deodorant. At what age do they realize this is bad hygeine?

Asalaam Alaikum ,No i dont think they are aware of this and if confronted you will definitely get a big denial ,No thats not me,( knowing well). I think when they are thinking about getting married that these acts will straighten up very quickly. I have 4 sons mashallah.take care

lol i dont think they relize it either, actually i believe they think its normal two paticular boys i know around that age actually dont see a problem with it and will go for weeks wothout a shower until they are threatend or are constantly kept on about this. i think when they hit around maybe late 13's 14 years they relize it because of different reasons.

I don't think young boys notice their body odor, just for the fact that they can't smell themselves. They don't know that they STINK until we (as parents, or whoever else) let them know that they STINK. Now from watching my 17 year old brother... he didn't really get into the showering and cleanness until girls got into his head. When he wanted to get a girlfriend, then showers were his best friend!!!
