Is love ever lost?

Has someone ever hurt you so bad to the point where you couldnt bare to talk or see them BUT you also never stopped loving them? What is it in us as humans that helps us get mad at a person but cant get rid of the love we have for that person permanently?

Because we have a heart and are full of emotions. I have an ex that I truly care for but he is happier with me and my kids so I let him go. There were past boyfriends in the past that have hurt me but somehow there are still those good memories that are left so I guess sometimes it's not completely lost.

i havent lost my girl friend...but i have seen many people who lost their love...it is very sad...i cannot even think about that...according to me
to love is nothing
to be loved is something
to love and be loved is everything
so i cant afford losing my girl...i fear of losing her many times...
