I do, on occasion, it just depends on what you're looking for. What pairings do you like? If you look at the firefly archive at www.ditb.org there is a ton of good stuff there, and the livejournal communities are a great resource as well.

If you read fic on Livejournal, Rivendellrose has some good stuff. I'm not a big fan of the series, but she's a good writer and does very well with every character she writes. I'd definitely recommend checking out her work. Other than that, I'm afraid I can't make many suggestions. I mostly read Fullmetal Alchemist and Babylon 5 fan fiction.

I do. I read one that was interesting, I got it from fanfic.net. It was centered on River and Jayne. If you check on the Firefly talk podcast website. They have reviews and links to the fics.

I've had good experiences with Firefly fanfic. My favorite archive is Firefly's Glow ( http://firefly.populli.org/ ). It's well organized, there's a greater variety of genres/pairings than some other sources I've fumbled across, and there're a lot of really great stories up there.

I was really obsessed with FF about a year ago. Every other year I get really obsessed with the show. Don't ask me why, it just happens. lol
I read most of my fics from fanfic.net. They have some really good ones there. If I cross by any great ones I'll add the link for you here.
I'm big on Inara and Mal (as you noticed) so I look into those a lot.
