I am a single mother of three girls and t has come to the point in which I must decide on how to handle the absent father. My two older girls father was active in their lives until about 2 years ago when he remarried and started a new family. They are finally old enough and smart enough to figure out that they have been "left in the cold" by him. They have alot of strong men in their lives, but none are daddy. How did you or would you handle this?

You are a great mother doing that alone, you have a family in one hand and the world in the other hand, I hope the best for you and your girls.

I say take them home to your mother and let their uncles be their role models. :-)

The only problem there is they only have one uncle at Grandmas and some times I wonder about his role modeling.

It's tough and you're doing a great job. Unfortunately you picked losers and you and your family are stuck with the consequences. Do your best to explain as best you can to your children. without bitterness or recriminations, after all it is their dads you're talking about.
