I am wondering why I don't have a start...

Looks like others have already given you the answer. I rated your discussions that I commneted on. I also rated your comment that you left on my discussion. So when you reach 100 the ratings you are receiving now will determine your number in the star and it will go up or down depending on your ratings.

As other stated here you need to have 100 points to receive a star, you have been rated but mylot needs at least 100 posts to give accurate ratings. as for your discussions I took a look at your profile and your topics seems to be good, you just need more people to see them to get some responses going on .. you have very few friends and they may be also unresponsive, i advice that you request more friends but choose them from similar interests.. like respond to discussions from the same interests that you write about and "after" you post to these discussions request friendship from the original poster of the discussion you replied to.. most likely they will be posting in your discussions soon as they have same interests. you will have a star if you already post 100

this is what i understood from mylot guidelines. users with a user rating of less than 100 will not yet have myLot reputation myLot reputation is determined by the myLot community,not user It doesn’t mean that 8 stars means “good user” and 5 stars means “bad user” only indicate how active user are increase your reputation is by contributing quality topics, responses and comments and avoid breaking mylot rules!

You don't get a star until you reach one hundred posts then after that you recieve a star that will be rated on the quality of your posts as far as I can see . The better your posts are when you respond to other people determines what star you will have . You are almost there though .
